Variation on ties, 2023 collection by Lorenzo Prado NFT

This project is about ties and parts of ties, using a mixture of colors and shapes, a bit like Alfredo Volpi did with small flags, objects known by everyone in Brazil. I was also inspired by Max Bill and his "fifteen variations on a single theme", who wrote in November 1938 in Editions du Jour, Paris, that "the fact that a single theme - that is, a single fundamental idea - leads to Fifteen very different developments can be considered proof that concrete art comprises an infinite number of possibilities". My work is not concrete art, but I took from it some concepts, such interplay of shapes and colors, permutation, overlapping and juxtaposition, creating, in some cases, vibration and “Op Art” effect. In other works, I tried to convey serenity and equilibrium, a bit like Alexander Calder did with his hanging sculptures.
