These companies, with government collaboration, seized control of the area, expelling indigenous populations and turning the landscape into a heavily secured, secretive hub of bio-product development and research. Harman’s paintings offer a haunting glimpse into this dystopian world, where ghost towns are all that remain of a once-thriving region.
