COUSIN series:

13 variants of a photograph found at the Emmaus store in Mazamet

The project began on a spring Saturday morning in a store of the Emmaüs community. On a large modern rustic buffet-type piece of furniture, with dark and pearly varnish, is placed a small gilded frame with a photograph of a face inside. This photo instantly triggers me a giggle for several minutes. I then buy this portrait of an unknown person and take it home to Toulouse. Over time, it moves into several areas of my apartment (living room, workshop, bedroom, kitchen). I regularly show this image to my friends, my family and like to present this face as my cousin: A COUSIN. After some time, I decide to set up a creative project from this photo. The idea is to make a series of variants/remixes of this image and a small particular edition.

Techniques: drawings, photographs, recovery of images on the internet, compositions, collages and drawings transformations with photographic software...
