Castaways NFT

Castaways is a collection of one thousand unique Farcaster NFTs by Oxen. The collection began as an exploration of the memetic possibilities of the Farcaster ‘arch’ logo and later evolved into a large collection with myriad reinterpretations, from minimalist colorways to maximalist whimsy. To create uniformity and cohesion in the collection, the outline and placement of the original Farcaster arch remains the same throughout, leaving the foreground and background as the two planes of variation.

With Castaways, the Farcaster logo is interpreted in many ways, and so too the collection is designed to have composability of utility, purpose, interpretation and perception.

It can be experienced (and utilized) as a whole or as individual works, or as user defined smaller collections of individual works.

Anyone can buy one or a selection of Castaways and give them any utility they want, and in fact are encouraged to use these pieces in novel and surprising ways.

The utility that I've chosen (as creator) is to allocate 2.5% of secondary profits to Purple Dao. After the mint it’s my hope that the collection will take on a life of its own; there is no Castaways ‘team,’ this is an art project and there should be no expectation of utility outside of what you create yourself.
