The Reykjanes Peninsula in southwest Iceland is the continuation of the mostly submarine Reykjanes Ridge, a part of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, on land. The peninsula is also, geologically the youngest part of Iceland. After nearly 800 years of inactivity and more than 50.000 earthquakes from mid January 2021 the magma found its way up to the surface and created a new fissure on the evening of 19th of March 2021. Fagradalsfjall volcano was born ! I got the chance to document it since day 1 and this collection of 50 1/1 videos is the story of 6 months of eruption. 6 months of changes with up to 7 vents erupting at the same time back in April. The 5 collectors of a rare piece will receive an extra photography NFT matching the purchased video. The videos matching photography NFTs will be the part 2 of the Motion Earth collection. For each NFT sold, 50$ will be donated to the GIVE BACK TO NATURE and will be used to plant thousands of trees and manage thousands of single use plastic.
